Recent Digs - Photo Galleries - Slow Eagle Quarry
The quarry was in a work closure area due to a golden eagle that was nesting. The work could not proceed on the pipeline as long as all the eagles did not leave the nest. One eagle was in no hurry to leave home...typical juvenile! This allowed the time we needed to quarry the bones without feeling the pressure. In gratitude the quarry was named "Slow Eagle Quarry."
